repeat custumer I bought this jacket in white 2 years ago for my daughter, she loves it...so now I got it in black for her

Football Fan I bought this jacket in black and it is very cute on. It is not overly poofy and very light in weight. The furry color is a nice soft touch. The jacket does run on the small size. I normally wear a medium (I'm a size 10) and the medium would not even zip on me so I ordered the size large which was perfect.

JennyPenny This coat seems warmer than you would think. It's great for spending the day outside or just hopping around doing errands

CK I bought the jacket for the cold MN winters. I wanted something not bulky but warm and with the special heat reflective lining this jacket does fill the bill on that front. The good Columbia quality is there as I expected and I really like the look of it apparently it got a style upgrade from last year which I think is very nice (I am hoping it is not too trendy because I want to use it for many years.) The problem is that it is pretty darn tight. I tried a medium on in the store and it was way small so I thought since I usually wear a large (12-14) I'd order an XL as that is the size I get when I want things to be looser like big sweaters or sweatshirts. Unfortunately, this XL jacket was tight in the arms, midsection and while I can zip it up and it doesn't look totally ridiculous it is just not as comfortable as I want my winter jackets to be.

It does have really cool sleeve linings with the hand coverings and thumb holes but I could definitely use more room in general especially when I wear sweaters and winter clothes under it. Also I would have exchanged for a larger size but they only make up to an XL. Due to the quality of jacket I would recommend it to a friend but I would warn her about the size issue as someone who typically wears a medium could wear the XL.

ColdAlaskan I live in Alaska and bought this same exact coat in purple for winter 2013/14 and loved it! I like the slippery, wind-proofy material on the outside. I like the shiny, silvery Omni-heat material on the inside (not sure if it really works, but it brainwashes me into thinking it's great stuff). I loved that it has a zipable inside pocket, and zipable outside pockets, and I like the sleeve extensions with the thumb hole to prevent wind blowing up my sleeves.

After nearly 2 full winters, I decided I wanted another coat just like this but in a bright raspberry pink color. I was hoping for an end-of-season discount. I found a similar coat in the exact color I wanted, but this one was only available in the same boring colors as the previous few years. I ordered the purple hoping it would be closer to the raspberry pink, but it was only slightly brighter purple than the one I already had, so I returned it and bought the other coat. I chose fashion over quality.

Bottom line: If you can handle the color choices (black, white, dark teal, dark purple) then this is an awesome coat!

onomatopoeia I bought this as replacement liner for my 3 in 1. I love the look and feel of the jacket, stands up to light rain, and handles wind exceptionally. I got the metal color, which is a beautiful bluish gray color. The fit is very nice, not boxy, but not constricting, I have a long torso and the jacket extends far enough that I stay covered, even with my lowest riding jeans on.

I wasn't sure about the hand warmer sleeve extension things when I ordered it. After a month of owning the jacket I cut those out (which is very easy to do). I never realized how much weight those added to my arms, the jacket is much more comfortable now. I wish columbia had a method of making those removable, because there are times they come in handy- like when you forget your gloves on the way to the dog park.

Hip Dad I gave this jacket as a gift to my 18 year old daughter who is normally extremely picky about her jackets. I didn't know if she would like it, but what isn't there to not like. It's lightweight, it fits nice on the body since it's tighter around the waist for a smaller person like herself, it's not puffy, but still very warm, and she can use it for anywhere she goes in the winter. It might be nice to have a hood on this jacket, but that's what hats are for. I haven't heard her complain about it and she actually returned a different jacket she received this Christmas over mine which made me happy I made the right choice. She was also into The Northface gear so also wasn't sure she would like it (you know how teenagers are nowadays). Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and hope that it lasts a few winters here in Chicago.

Leah I'm a native Floridian and visited Wisconsin for the first time this winter. I get cold very easily. I wore this, a super light weight omni-heat jacket that fit underneath, and a long sleeve t-shirt and was perfectly warm! I think I may have even been warmer than the people I visited who lived there! Definitely the best jacket I've ever owned. Super comfortable and definitely flattering. I tried on tons of coats before my trip and this was the only one that didn't make me look boxy.

I love the Omni-Heat technology from Columbia! I'm very surprised at how flattering their stuff is.

redheadriding Just got this jacket. Thought it would be a good "running around" jacket -- mall shopping, running errands. Liked the fact that it isn't too bulky. The styling is great! Love the fur lined collar -- very cozy. Only cons are that is runs a little small. I usually wear a medium -- bought this in Large (as I know Columbia runs small). Fits nicely, so size up if you are between sizes. The "hobo holes" on the cuffs are nice, BUT the cuffs themselves are really tight! I am afraid I am going to tear them trying to take the coat off! All in all, I like this coat and hope it keeps me toasty this winter!
